Yee Family ADU

The Yee family came to Acton ADU with a clear goal: create a permanent home for multigenerational living in their Cupertino backyard. They also had a challenge. Their lot didn't fit a standard rectangular footprint.

Our design-build team answered with a fully custom, 998 square foot, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom ADU with a unique angled L-shaped plan that conforms precisely to the property's boundaries. Rather than forcing a stock layout onto an irregular lot, the custom design maximizes every usable square foot while preserving yard space, privacy, and natural light.

Inside, the two-bedroom, two-bathroom layout gives family members true independence: private sleeping quarters, comfortable shared living space, and room for daily life to unfold without compromise. It's a complete home, built for the way the Yees will actually live in it, today and for decades to come.

Like every Acton ADU, the Yee project was site-built to California residential standards under local Cupertino permits and inspections, and delivered through a process built on no surprises.
