Fukawa Family ADU

When the Fukawa family decided to bring a parent closer to home, they wanted more than a spare room. They wanted a private, comfortable backyard home where family could live independently, just steps away.

Acton ADU designed and built a 875 square foot, 2 bed / 1 bath ADU in San Jose, CA tailored for multigenerational living. The layout prioritizes comfort, accessibility, and privacy, so the space works beautifully for everyday living today and adapts as the family's needs change.

When family isn't in residence, the ADU doubles as a welcoming guest space, giving the Fukawas long-term flexibility from a single investment.

Like every Acton ADU, the Fukawa project was site-built to California residential standards, designed to perform for decades, and delivered through a process built on no surprises.
